Description
We are a 15 minute walk from central station, located behind the Botanical Gardens. The local zoo Artis is just around the corner, and the Famous Waterloo square Fleamarket is a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
The hotel Hortus is a family run hotel with a relaxed atmosphere. We offer free coffee and tea all day as well our internet access is free. In our lounge we have three tv's and a big screen so you shouldn't miss a goal. And if you want you can always play a game of pool.
All linens and towels are provided free of charge.
Check in is any time after 13:00 but before 23:00. Once you have checked you will receive a key for the front door,so there is no curfew.Please note that reception closes at 23:00.

How to reach us
From airport:
To reach us from the airport, take the train to central station. From there take tram 9 and get out at the 7th stop.Once you get out cross the street and turn right, walk back one block in the direction you just came. At the first street turn left, that is our street Plantage Parklaan.
There are no houses on the opposite side of our street, we are number 8.
You can also take the metro from central station, any metro will take you here. Get out at the 2nd stop Waterloo Plein. Once you exit follow the sign for Nieuwe Herengracht, take the escaltor up once you have reached the exit turn right and follow the road until you come to the end. Turn left at that point and follow that till you come to number 8.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If you need to cancel a reservation, please note that:
a) for any 72+ hours advance notice: it does NOT provide any cancellation fee. Nonetheless, deposit and booking fee are no-refundable.
b) for any 72- hours advance notice or in case of a No-Show: if not otherwise reported by the establishment, the customer will be charged a cancellation fee corresponding to the price of the first night per person.
Both customer and establishment will receive an automated notification of the cancellation via e-mail. In every case, deposit and booking fee are no-refundable.
