Located in the heart of city, our spacious apartment has been beautifully renovated and furnished with local art and antiques. The proprietor is a Spanish artist and art collector. He studied art at La Llotja, the same school Picasso attended. A native of Barcelona, he is an excellent resource for information. He's also more than happy to give guided tours of his city. Walk the Gotic area and he will point out where Christopher Columbus met with the King and Queen of Spain.
Eat in cozy and bohemian restaurants. Try your hand bargaining at the colorful flea market. Have a desire to get out of the city for a day excursion? Your host can take you up the coast of Costa Brava to a little seaside town, or stop at a cove where you can swim and eat fresh caught seafood right on the beach. Your host will have many recommendations not found in guidebooks.
